Black Tie Pony Play
The House of Decorum, based in Greenville, South Carolina, is a very active leather family. They are active in all aspects of the leather community, so when Ms. Jan decided to do a formal black tie dinner to benefit the National Coalition For Sexual Freedom, it was no surprise. The NCSF is a leader in all areas of the diverse life style, campaigning for total sexual freedom for one and all.
A high protocol dinner with entertainment is a great time, but to include pony play would make it superb! It was a honor when Ms. Jan contacted us to be the pony and handler chosen for the stage performance. The entertainment would include a trapeze artist, Blue, from Asheville, North Carolina; belly dancer troupe Rogue from Augusta, Georgia; a singer and comic, Big Jim, from Virginia; and us, Foxy and Sherifox from Florida. A complete spectrum of talent was represented and we were the only fetish performers. Most ponies are exibitionists and most audience members are voyeurs, which assures a fun show.
We arrived in South Carolina after an eight hour road trip. The plans were set for the evening. The performances would be on stage during the multiple course meal with the pony show as the grand finale. I had worked out a performance revolving around an advanced dressage routine. With a little time to practice, Sherifox was tacked up and she became Firefox, my pony girl. Reins in hand, the practice session went smoothly. Returning to the dining area, back in formal attire, we settled back to await the first course of the meal and for the show to begin when Ms. Jan approached our table needing help. Blue, the trapeze artist, was to open the show, but injured herself in practice, and with a hurt wing, this little bird couldn't fly. Could we open the show? Curtain call is in ten minutes!
Time to improvise, adapt, and overcome. Luckly I had extra tack with me so, Firefox was put in a brown working pony headstall. Firefox is a well-trained pony girl, so what we did was introduce the crowd to our style of pony play. Putting Firefox through her paces, demonstrating all the gaits in and around the seated diners, brought the crowd into the show ring for a close-up perspective. Galloping around, then from, the dining area, the show was now in the hands of the other acts. The belly dancers took the stage next, with a fantastic performance using Arabic swords. Big Jim, the DJ, gave us great music and comedy through the night.
Time had come for the grand finale. Tacked in black patent pony gear, Firefox performed flawlessly, prancing and moving in ways that only a well-trained pony knows how to. The difficult maneuvers brought her well deserved applause, and the crowd was thoroughly entertained. Performing for an appreciative crowd always makes the effort well worth the years of training. We personally want to make sure Ms. Jan knows we were extremely honored to perform for this worthy cause.
The meal was great. The slaves working as wait staff did well, as they should,The attendees were very entertained and the NCSF received a hefty check. So it was a win win situation all around.

I have begun working on the plans for this year's formal dinner fundraiser for NCSF. Instead of a dinner theater, we are going to have a formal leather ball with dinner. We have a much bigger location with a dance floor, sound system, and cash bar. I am really looking forward to it. Maybe we will get lucky and have you there to enjoy it as well.
