Pony Rights

Do Ponies have rights? One forum writer asked in The Barnyard not so long ago whether or not ponies have the right to speak up when a trainer is mishandling them. Perhaps the assertiveness to set and enforce comfortable boundaries with the person in the training position is not so easily felt by the eager pony who has been waiting for the opportunity to play. Ponies should do as they are told, shouldn't they? But what if the trainer doesn't stay within the boundaries and limits of the pony? Not only is this dangerous, but even a pony has the right to stand up for himself or herself. As one of my favorite power bottoms likes to say to the opportunist top, "You are not the top of me!" This is right. Only those who have earned the trust and respect of the pony have the right to act on that trust. Ponies, take those reins back if the handler is not respecting your limits. If you need support, look for your local community "animal rights" activist. Thank you ponygyrl aurora for setting your limits and bringing this topic to the forefront.
