2009 Southern California Fox Hunt
The Los Angeles Ponies and Critters Club is announcing the 2009 Southern
California Fox Hunt.
The Fox hunt is being held on the 7th November 2009 at a campsite in the
National Forest. Exact location will be given out to those who register their
intention to attend.
All human ponies, puppies along with their trainers or owners are welcome. The
event is a human pony and puppy representation of a traditional hunt. A fox has
been organized and will set off in advance of the "hounds" and "hunters". While
we will be sticking to the trails it should be noted that appropriate footwear
for the terrain and clothing suitable for public play (all pink bits fully
covered and warm clothing advised) for everyone attending is mandatory.
Prizes for the best turned out pony, first hound to the fox and first
pony/trainer combination to the fox!
People are encouraged to camp at the campsite overnight on the 6th and 7th so
that all the camp areas are taken, but those wishing to attend for the day only
are welcome. There is no camping fee. There is a parking permit required. The
required parking permits are $15 per car for the first (6) to apply that will
camp overnight and reserve the campsite spaces. These are One year passes to the
park and will be good for the Spring Fox Hunt. Please bring extra water for the
ponies and puppies as well as clothing/blankets in case it gets chilly!
We are a small community and want everyone to get to know members of the group!
There will be a munch on the 4th November to finalize details and introduce new
members. If you are not known to people already part of the LA Ponies and
Critters Club then please attend this munch, we need to know everyone who will
be there for safety purposes.
Registration is via Submissann. Please contact her via e-mail (submissann@...)
or at the LA Pony and Critters Club, P.O. Box 2282, Toluca Lake, California
91610.
